D400 Surface boxes

Grade A ductile iron surface boxes providing rapid access to below-ground services — water, gas, electricity and telecoms valves, stop taps and control points — in carriageways and other trafficked areas.

Built to D400 loading for use in roads and parking areas, our surface boxes are available in five stock sizes from 150 x 150 x 100 up to 430 x 280 x 100, covering the great majority of utility applications. Ductile iron construction gives the strength to withstand repeated heavy wheel loads while keeping the unit light enough to handle safely on site.

All sizes are held ex-stock in Telford for next-day nationwide delivery. For larger chamber openings, see our full range of D400 manhole covers and frames.
