Every B125 cover in our range between 300 x 300 and 900 x 900 carries BSI Kitemark KM 789143 and is load tested to 10% above the BS EN 124 requirement, so you’re specifying with a genuine safety margin rather than a bare pass.
Available in solid top single seal construction from 300 x 300 up to 1200 x1200, with circular opening and twin options, and skid-resistant treatment available across the range.
Standard sizes are held ex-stock in Telford for next-day nationwide delivery. Not sure whether B125 is enough for your application? Read our guide to BS EN 124 loading classes, or call our technical team on +44 (0)1952 580 554.
C250 is also the minimum specification for kerbside and channel positions — covers set within roughly half a metre of the kerb line take repeated wheel loading even when they sit outside the running lane, and B125 is not sufficient there.
All C250 covers carry BSI Kitemark KM 789143 and are load tested to 10% above the BS EN 124 requirement. Solid top single seal construction, held ex-stock in Telford in 450 x 450, 600 x 450 and 600 x 600. For carriageway installations, step up to our D400 range — our guide to BS EN 124 loading classes explains where each class applies.
If the installation is on an adopted highway, D400 is almost always the minimum required.
Our D400 range carries BSI Kitemark KM 789143 and every cover is load tested to 10% above the BS EN 124 requirement — proven at 440kN, not just 400 kN. That margin matters on covers that take heavy commercial traffic thousands of times a day.
The range spans double triangular covers from 450 x 450 through to 1800 x 900, plus hinged four-part covers and frames for larger openings, in 100 mm and 150 mm depths. Skid-resistant treatment is available across the range, and standard sizes are held ex-stock in Telford for next-day nationwide delivery.
For Highways England schemes, see our D400 HA104 / CD534 compliant range. For docks, ports and airfields, step up to E600 or F900 — our guide to BS EN 124 loading classes sets out the full picture.
Like our standard D400 covers, these are certified to a 400 kN test load under BS EN 124-2:2015, carry BSI Kitemark KM 789143, and are load tested to 10% above the BS EN 124 requirement.
Double triangular covers are available from 450 x 450 to 1800 x 675 in 100 mm and 150 mm depths. If you’re working to a CD534 specification and need helpmatching a chamber opening to the right cover, call our technical team on +44 (0)1952 580 554 — we deal with these enquiries daily.
Built to D400 loading for use in roads and parking areas, our surface boxes are available in five stock sizes from 150 x 150 x 100 up to 430 x 280 x 100, covering the great majority of utility applications. Ductile iron construction gives the strength to withstand repeated heavy wheel loads while keeping the unit light enough to handle safely on site.
All sizes are held ex-stock in Telford for next-day nationwide delivery. For larger chamber openings, see our full range of D400 manhole covers and frames.
Where D400 is designed around road vehicles, E600 accounts for concentrated static and dynamic loads from materials handling equipment. If covers in your yard are cracking or rocking in their frames, under specification is a common cause.
Our E600 range carries BSI Kitemark KM 789143 and is load tested to 10% above the BS EN 124 requirement. Available in double triangular construction from 600 x 600 to 1220 x 675, plus hinged four-part covers and frames up to 1500 x 1500 for large openings.
For airport pavements and port areas subject to the most extreme loads, see our F900 range — our guide to BS EN 124 loading classes
explains where the line falls between the two.
Our F900 covers carry BSI Kitemark KM 789143 and are load tested to 10% above the BS EN 124 requirement, giving a proven performance of 990 kN. On aircraft pavements and container handling areas, where a failed cover means both a safety incident and an operational shutdown, that margin is worth specifying for.
Available in double triangular construction at 600 x 600 and 900 x 900, plus hinged covers up to 1200 x 1200 in 150 mm depth. For the largest and most demanding openings, our specialist ductile iron range adds machine-seated and multi-part solid top configurations.
