D400 Gully Gratings & Frames
D400 ductile iron gully gratings and frames are certified to a 400 kN test load (40 tonnes) under BS EN 124-2:2015, the class for carriageways, hard shoulders, car parks and pedestrianised streets used by service vehicles. Where a gully sits in the running lane of an adopted highway, D400 is normally the minimum class to specify.
The range includes hinged gratings that stay captive to the frame during gully cleansing, and double triangular gratings that seat on three points to resist rocking and noise under traffic. Sizes run from 430 x 370 to 600 x 600, in 100 mm and 150 mm frame depths. Ductile iron gives a lighter, tougher casting than grey iron and is far less prone to cracking under impact.

E600 Gully Gratings & Frames
E600 ductile iron gully gratings and frames are certified to a 600 kN test load (60 tonnes) under BS EN 124-2:2015. They are specified where wheel loads are very high: docks, distribution yards, loading bays and heavy industrial sites where HGVs and fork-lift trucks turn and brake over drainage points.
Two patterns are available, both with 150 mm deep frames: the Dover 420 x 420 and the Stokesay 600 x 600 double triangular grating, whose three-point seating keeps the grating stable under repeated heavy traffic. Both are cast in ductile iron for strength without the brittleness of grey iron.

F900 Gully Gratings & Frames
F900 ductile iron gully gratings and frames are certified to a 900 kN test load (90 tonnes) under BS EN 124-2:2015, the highest class in the standard. They are specified for airport aprons and taxiways, port operating areas and container yards, where aircraft wheels, straddle carriers and reach stackers impose very high point loads.
The Dover 450 x 450 grating sits in a 150 mm deep frame, cast in ductile iron to take sustained heavy loading without the brittleness of grey iron.
