E600

E600 ductile iron manhole covers and frames are certified to a 600 kN test load (60 tonnes) under BS EN 124-2:2015 — specified for areas of exceptionally high wheel loading such as docks, distribution yards, warehouses, loading bays and heavy industrial sites where forklifts and plant operate continuously.

Where D400 is designed around road vehicles, E600 accounts for concentrated static and dynamic loads from materials handling equipment. If covers in your yard are cracking or rocking in their frames, under specification is a common cause.

 

Our E600 range carries BSI Kitemark KM 789143 and is load tested to 10% above the BS EN 124 requirement. Available in double triangular construction from 600 x 600 to 1220 x 675, plus hinged four-part covers and frames up to 1500 x 1500 for large openings.
